Ashok Saraf to make a comeback on television after a long hiatus

Mee Marathi is all set to launch a new show titled Nana-O-Nana which will mark the comeback of veteran and popular Marathi actor Ashok Saraf after more than a decade. A source tells us, “Ali Asgar, Swapnil Joshi and Shriya Pilgaonkar – daughter of Sachin and Supriya – have come together to form a production house called Three Cheers Productions Pvt Ltd. Their first show Nana-O-Nana will be for Mee Marathi. The show will see Ashok Saraf playing the lead role named Nana Punekar. Priya Berde’s character called Nani Punekar will play Nana’s wife. This is a comedy show which will focus on the people of Pune and their attitude towards life. Furthermore, Satish Tare will be playing a new role in each and every episode. The show will be directed by Nilesh Mayekar, Mayur and Deepak Nalwade. The show will be on air for 13 weeks and will have 26 episodes.” Swapnil Joshi confirms, “This is the first show of our production house and we are really excited about it. This production house is Sachin sir’s dream. We plan to do short and quality shows. That’s why we decided to begin with a 26 episode show. It is an honour to work with Ashok Saraf who is returning to television after a long time. Shailendra Barve has composed the title track of the show.” Nana-O-Nana will go on air from July 04 every Monday and Tuesday at 10 pm.
