Currently, the viewers notice a new emerging trend rather a fashion of portraying the hero of the show in the negative shade and later whitewashing his image. Initially, it seemed that it was just a unique concept with just one or two shows but now, every show on television has certainly experimented with their protagonist.
Fans made a note of their favourite heroes onscreen who were portrayed in the negative shade as the story proceeded and even white-washed to show that they were just being misunderstood. With some, the quality really brings the relatability factor but with some, it isn't even justified. Check it out-
Fateh in Udaariyaan had changed completely into the negative for the longest time, the same happened with Angad Maan in the show while he began as the most loved character, the shade flipped quite dark.
Aditya in Imlie ended on a terrible note, makers turned the character so negative that it completely ruined the charm of what Gashmeer had portrayed. With Manasvi, they turned the character absolutely negative, and later there was no scope seen for it to really survive with a track.
Rudra in Yeh Hai Chahatein has been one of the most confusing characters. It seems the makers have no plans of him ever reuniting with Preesha at peace, they keep taking leaps and separating all the time in the show.
Rajeev in Parineetii has begun to walk in the footsteps of the previous actors. It would be interesting to see how they would justify his two-timing with Parineet and Neeti in the show, as it is quite unacceptable to see what the character has been doing.
What is your take on this?
