Gavie Chahal had a dream debut in Bollywood with Yash Raj Films’ Ek Tha Tiger, the super-successful Salman Khan starrer. The actor bagged quite a lot of appreciation for his important role of Abrar in the movie. And the icing on the cake was to get the Critics Award for his role in the 20th JAI National Award by Journalists Association of India in September last year (2012). And now, Gavie has been nominated for the Best Actor Award in the Punjabi Film Awards 2013 for his lead performance in the Punjabi movie, Pinki Moge Waali.
Talking about the achievements and appreciations he has got for his movies, Gavie told Tellychakkar.com, “Awards and appreciations excite me and give me satisfaction. It actually inspires me to work harder and give my best. I am very happy for the nomination for Best Actor for my movie Pinki Moge Wali. The movie has bagged nearly 6 nominations including the nominations for Best Actress (my co-star Neeru Bajwa) and Best Director (Vikram Dhillon). And this nomination comes after I bagged the 20th JAI National Award for my role in Ek Tha Tiger and that makes it more exciting.”
Gavie who debuted on the small screen with Colors’ Mohe Rang De was also seen in Zee TV’s Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein before he set foot into movies.
We wish Gavie all the very best for his future.
