TellyChakkar.com has exclusively learned about a major change in Zee TV show Kumkum Bhagya. Roopam Sharma who played the character of Shivansh's ex-girlfriend Sonalika will be replaced. Bhagya Lakshmi's Megha Prasad has been roped in to play Sonalika after Sharma's exit.

Confirming the news, Megha said, "I am very grateful to God and to Balaji. This is my third show with Balaji in a row and I feel a kind of responsibility. They have been very kind to me."
Megha also replaced Maera Mishra from Bhagya Lakshmi as Malishka. Talking about replacing an actor all over again, Megha said, "I have the same kind of pressure that I had when I entered Bhagya Lakshmi. But the fun fact is that for Sonalika's character, I was given a reference of Malishka, the character that I played. So, it is kind of a bonus for me. In Kumkum Bhagya, I will perform from the experience that I've earned while playing Malishka. I can add, subtract and do experiments from my own learnings and it will be an exciting journey for sure."
Megha mentioned that she would probably start shooting for the show from Sunday (July 13, 2025).
