MUMBAI: Eijaz Khan was touted as one of the finalists of Bigg Boss 14. However, he left the show midway due to his work commitments that he had made before stepping inside the house.

As the reality show 14 got extended by a month, Eijaz had to make an exit as he had given his word. Post his exit, the actor spoke to ETimes TV and talked about his decision to leave the show mid-way, his relationship with Pavitra Punia, and much more.

Talking about leaving the show mid-way, he said, “Yes, it felt terrible to leave the show midway. I have given my blood and sweat to the show. But I am a professional and if I have given my commitment to someone, I won’t go back on my words. I’ve always said this on the show main zabaan ka pakka hoon... some hundred times on the show, so how could I leave someone in lurch.”

He also spoke about Pavitra Punia. He said, “Pavitra and I love each other a lot. There’s a lot of respect for each other. Now, whatever we want to do in future we will do when the right time comes. And for all those things we first need to spend a lot of time together. Family ko pataana padta hai... (you have to convince families also).”

“The relationship will progress naturally from here on. We won't rush for anything. When I first went to her house, I met her brother. It was very necessary to meet and inform a member of her family that my intentions are noble. Later, I got to know that there were too many misunderstandings and rumours about our relationship. So, we had to handle that. My brother has also met Pavitra and while I was taking a nap they spoke about me. Inshallah everything will be good. We love and respect each other a lot and I think half of the battle is won. Life is looking beautiful and we will together make it more beautiful. I don’t want to put anything out there. In fact, if given a choice I would like to keep my personal life private. But people who love us, I want them to know how serious it is. Pavitra and I have spoken to each other and we understand and here families are also involved. We have confessed on national television now how bigger can it get,” added Eijaz.
