MUMBAI: Asim Riaz is once again making headlines, though not for the best of reasons. The actor, currently seen in the reality show Battleground, has come under scrutiny for his anger issues bringing back memories of his controversial stint on Bigg Boss 13.
Asim has often found himself in the limelight for reasons that spark debate, and his journey on Bigg Boss was no exception. One of the most talked-about moments from that season was when Asim confessed his love for fellow contestant Himanshi Khurana, despite her being in a committed relationship at the time. His bold declaration caused a stir, although Himanshi later clarified she had ended things with her then-boyfriend.
The drama escalated during one of the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes, where host Salman Khan confronted Asim over his feelings for Himanshi. Salman questioned why Asim was so persistent when Himanshi hadn’t given him a clear response, suggesting that he was coming across as desperate.

Asim, in his defence, said he had fallen in love and couldn’t control his emotions. However, Himanshi explained she was still working through things and hadn’t officially broken up with her partner.
That’s when Salman dropped a bombshell reminding Asim that he had previously told the late actor and fellow contestant Sidharth Shukla that he had a girlfriend outside the house. Salman asked him directly: “Have you truly broken up with her?”
Asim insisted, “No sir, I’ve broken up. I’ll go out and sort things properly.”
But Salman wasn’t convinced. In a moment that has since become iconic, he warned Asim sternly, ‘If I find out you’ve lied to me and haven’t broken up, I’ll come and kick you;
There’s no denying that throughout Bigg Boss 13, Asim was often in the hot seat, frequently facing tough questions and fiery rebukes from Salman Khan.
While his fan following has remained strong, controversy seems to follow him whether it’s inside the house or out in the real world.
With his current behaviour on Battleground reigniting conversations, it’s clear that Asim Riaz’s journey in the limelight continues to be anything but smooth.
