DJ’s A Creative Unit’s Maryada which is aired on Star Plus deals with the life and struggles of four women. Female leads include Indrani Halder as Devyani, Ridhi Dogra as Priya, Kamya Punjabi as Uttara and Vindhya Tiwari as Vidya. On the other hand, Vishwajeet Pradhan (Brahmanand), Raqesh Vashisht (Aditya), Arun Bali (Bauji) and Dakssh Ajit Singh (Gaurav) are the male actors in the show. Together they form the Jakhar family. In the show, Vidya is married to Gaurav. However, Vidya is devoid of marital bliss as later it got revealed that Gaurav is gay. He even had a relationship with a man called Karan (Kaaran Singh). Aditya, Vidya’s brother-in-law, also knows about Gaurav’s sexual orientation. In spite of the revelation, Vidya has accepted her husband the way he is and is leading a life full of pain and mental agony. On the other hand, Imli (maidservant in the house) and Priya plan to celebrate Vidya and Gaurav’s first marriage anniversary. But soon the story will take a new turn as Devyani –unaware of the celebrations – will decide to announce, in front of the entire family, her decision to get separated from Brahma. Devyani has already told Priya and Bauji about it. However, Brahma will get worried and try to stop Devyani from making the announcement as he never wanted to divorce her. Now, in another twist, Uttara, Devyani’s sister, is in love with Brahma. The news of the split will bring smile to her lips and she will plan to get married to Brahma after his divorce with Devyani. But she will be unaware of the fact that Brahma never loved her. He just got attracted to her beauty. In the upcoming episodes, Brahma will play a trick which will delay his separation with Devyani. Finally, Devyani will decide not to divorce him. So, to save his married life, Brahma will betray Uttara and break her heart. We spoke to Kamya Punjabi who said, “Uttara’s life will be full of sorrow as Brahma will betray her. This will mark the end of her relationship with Brahma.” The particular sequence will be aired by the end of this month.
