Candid chat with Ashiesh Roy

A meaty role is all that matters to a true artiste. But there are times when actors of enormous caliber too have to give in to roles like standing in the crowd. But, it’s just a matter of time till they get back. Ashiesh Roy who is currently seen as Chatur Sen in SAB TV’s Jeannie Aur Juju belongs to the same league of actors. He was earlier seen in Colors’ Sasural Simar Ka, but the actor did not blink his eyelid before saying a ‘yes’ to his current role in the SAB TV show. Reason? He wasn’t very happy with the way his role unfolded in Sasural. In fact, people close to the actor said that he continued with the role keeping in mind of his mother’s ailment- Ashiesh’s mother is suffering from cancer. But, at the same time, he wasn’t very happy with it. But at the moment, Ashiesh is really happy as he observes, “I have been in the industry for fifteen years and being a part of the crowd is not what you ask for. Today, my character in Jeannie Aur Juju is as prominent as that of Giaa Maanek and Ali Asgar. What else could I have asked for.” Talking about his co-stars, he avers, “Giaa and me are good friends and Ali is a very old friend. So we all gel really well.” All the best…Ashiesh!!!
