MUMBAI: MasterChef India is one of the most-watched cooking reality shows on Indian television. The show first aired on StarPlus and later shifted to Sony TV.
Akshay Kumar, Kunal Kapur, and Ajay Chopra were the judges for the first season of MasterChef India on StarPlus. In addition to them, Vikas Khanna, Sanjeev Kapoor, Ranveer Brar, Zorawar Kalra, and Vineet Bhatia, among others have served as judges in MasterChef India - Hindi over the years.
The new season of the show is set to premiere soon and this season’s judges include Chef Vikas Khanna, and Chef Ranveer Brar and the show is hosted by Farah Khan.
The confirmed contestant of the show are Gaurav Khanna, Tejasswi Prakash, Dipika Kakar, Rajiv Adatia, Nikki Tamboli, Archana Gautam, Faisal Shaikh, Usha Nadkarni, Abhijeet Sawant, Chandan Prabhakar, and Kabita Singh.
All the contestants are fighting for the immunity pin and we did see how Chandan, Kabita and Abhijeet are eliminated from the task.
All the contestants are now cooking in teams and whosoever dish wouldn’t be good both of them would be eliminated from the task.
In yesterday’s episode, we did see how Gaurav and Nikki has an argument as the judges said that they would taste on one dish and the two weren’t coming to a decision but at the end, the judges judged Gaurav’s dish.
Gaurav shared his story of struggle and said, ‘When I decided to leave my cooperative job and become an actress, everyone felt I was crazy and made a bad mistake, but then I have survied for eighteen years and did twenty shows with God's grace because I knew I would achieve it; that passion and belief was there in me’
Owing to which Vikas Khanna said, ‘Seeing you reminds me of something: while I was in college in the United States, everyone advised me to produce foreign food rather than Desi food because it would not work here, but I was stubborn and exclusively cooked Desi food. After college, I didn't have any work, but I made sure that with my belief, I would make India cuisine number one in the world, and today it has become, and even in the United States, the number one restaurant is an Indian restaurant that I own’
Vikas told Gaurav that the passion and belief that he has with his visions is exactly the same thing he had a few years ago.
Well, that is a great story by both Vikas and Gaurav about how to give up on your dreams and change the impossible.
