Celebs applaud CBI taking up Sushant's case, say justice will prevail

MUMBAI: Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his Bandra home on June 14. Soon after his demise a lot was said and written about the reason that led him to take his own life. From nepotism to depression and very recently his alleged girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty being responsible for it, a lot was said and written about his death. #JusticeForSushant has been trending on social media platforms for a long time now and people were demanding a CBI enquiry. Bihar government had requested the Centre for a CBI probe into the case which they accepted.

With CBI coming into the picture, everyone is expecting a detailed investigation in the case and more clarity. Celebs have applauded the move and even shared their view on the late actor's last movie "Dil Bechara". Here's what they had to say:

Vijayendra Kumeria: Well the truth behind his death has gone with him, of course, we all want to know what exactly happened but speculating what happened is not right. According to me the facts should come in light and for that, a proper enquiry should be done. I was always in full support of a CBI enquiry and happy that they have been roped in now. I think people instead of passing their judgment on social media should demand justice for him. I watched "Dil Bechara" recently. Its a decent film and it got a lot of attention due to the scenario which is a way of showing our respect for him but honestly, I think it wouldn’t have been the case if he was with us.

Shashank Vyas: I have been following this news since day one. I have been visiting the Justice For Sushant page frequently. I think it was quite a setback and I hope the real reason is out soon because it's the question of a person who had everything in his life, he had no scarcity or shortage of anything in his life. He had name, fame and money, everything. He was a fit person. So as it came on June 14 that he committed suicide, then what led him to do that. He is an inspiration to many, and obviously that question came in everyone's mind. And later on, there were a few forums asking for justice. It's a democracy and many were not happy with the kind of investigation the local police was conducting, so they wanted a CBI enquiry.  And the case is now with them and I think it's an excellent move. This is the first time that the whole nation has come together and demanded justice for Sushant. If there are people who made him do so, then they should be strictly punished. And as far as 'Dil Bechara' is concerned, I have not seen the film, and I don't think I will be able to watch it now. But yes, I might see it after Sushant gets justice. He was a fantastic and superb actor. I know there are some people close to me who were not talking to me as they believed I will only talk about Sushant and his case but tell me what's wrong in knowing the truth. I don't think there is any harm.

Vikas Sethi: Yes I have been following the news daily and though I didn't know him personally, the news of his death made me cry. Honestly, I feel there is something fishy about the whole case. I mean the police could have accessed his WhatsApp chat details and bank account details so easily, I don't know what took them so long. But with the CBI now taking the charge, it's a big sigh of relief and if someone was involved or someone pushed him to take his life, then that person should be punished. I also feel all those using his name and death for their own benefit should just leave him alone. Why use his name now. And as far as 'Dil Bechara' is concerned, I just couldn't watch it and I don't think I will ever have the courage to watch it.

Pranitaa Pandit: With the easy passing day we are getting to know more and more details about the case and something definitely feels off about the entire thing. I am happy that CBI has finally taken up the case and we will surely get to know more soon. He deserves justice because there is a lot more to the case that really needs to be investigated. Sushant was a brilliant actor. 'Dil Bechara' has really done well online, people have watched it and appreciated the film but yes, somewhere I feel that if he had been here it would have not got as much attention as it got now.

Amal Sehrawat: I have very high regard for Sushant, not only he was a hardworking actor but a brilliant human being as well. He sponsored children's education, had a deep interest in astronomy, had the ability to think out of the box and the list of such qualities goes on. I am saddened by the extreme step he has taken, I believe if he wouldn't have given into that moment of hopelessness he would have been here with us. Let's all learn a lesson to be strong enough to sail through tough times and let his soul rest in peace.

Amit Sarin: Being away from Mumbai here in LA, I don’t know too many details but it’s sad to see how some aspects of Sushant’s life and family is being discussed on public platforms. I just hope that now the truth should come out and details about any foul play or conspiracy which has taken his life should be investigated. This is very tragic and such untimely death can change so many lives and an entire family forever. May his family have the strength to see through this loss.

Khushbhoo Kamal: The kind of dramatic angle this case has taken is quite shocking. I just want to say that justice should prevail and I am happy that CBI has taken up the charge for further investigation. I didn’t know him, have never met him but the kind of work he has done, it shows that he was a very positive person. I have a doubt that it was a suicide case. I have been following the news daily and I had my own doubts about the whole investigation. Why was Mumbai police interrupting Bihar police's investigation? And whatever allegations people are putting on his close friend and his recent girlfriend is really making sense now. How can you give unprescribed medicine to someone without consulting a doctor? There is saying that dead people get more flowers than living ones. Just because 'Dil Bechara' is his last movie, people are watching it to give sympathy. I have watched the film and felt it was good. But I also feel that because his news is everywhere that's why the film grabbed so much attention and hype.

Srman Jain: He was a nice guy and we met a couple of times at parties. He has always been a very charming guy and whatever happened with him is really sad. Whatever happened to him has gone with him and nobody knows anything. Rhea was three years junior to me in my school in Agra. I don't know her much and haven't even met her in the last seven-eight years, but she is sweet. Actually, right now it is very difficult to comment on anything because we all want justice for Sushant. I feel CBI inquiry was much required because if the family is asking for it, it should have been permitted in the first place. It's for the good because now he and his family will get justice.

Jhanvi Sethi: As a founder of My Zindagi Foundation I believe that Sushant's case brings to the forefront a lot of issues we all deal with around Mental Wellness. Whether it's a suicide or murder, it will be decided by the court of law. The truth will always prevail. But I feel that the family is the strongest support system in cases of depression. It's extremely important for the individual to realize the symptoms, voice their opinion, and thereafter for the family to support him through this journey. I urge all of you to reflect if you feel the need please reach out, seek support, and get the help needed.

Mohit Malhotra: I have been following the news but honestly, I feel everyone is presenting their own theory. Whatever happened to Sushant he took it with him to his grave. But having said that I feel if someone else was involved or he did it because of someone, then that person should be punished. I am happy that the CBI inquiry has finally been sanctioned, at least now we will get some clarity on the case. Also, I think people should not use a late actor's name for their own benefit if you really want to help, help with the investigation, don't use his name for mud-slinging people you have a problem with. I totally agree that all that fame and appreciation Sushant received post his death, had this been done before, maybe he wouldn't have taken that extreme step. I have seen all his movies and recently watched "Dil Bechara", it was a heartwarming movie and he was incredible in that. Let's leave it like that.

Ashna Kishore: It is still hard to believe that he is no longer with us. I don’t think it’ll be appropriate to talk about him. If anything wrong has happened then justice should be served! Our industry has not only lost a great and versatile actor but also a good soul. All I can say is where ever he is may he be in peace.

Dhruvee Haldankar: Sushant was definitely a loved soul. He just left behind so many hearts beating for him. He was a gymnast dancer, he could even flip like a coin! I am just surprised as to how someone who could easily lift his body will have the zeel to hang himself from a fan? Like would he not just do a pull up instead! I feel the matter should be looked into and I am glad that CBI will do further investigation now. I watched 'Dil Bechara' only because of Sushant and I liked only him in the film. Mukesh made a good effort. But I might not have watched it if Sushant was alive.

Ankit Siwach: I feel it is a big loss for Sushant’s family and people are just using death as their marketing tool, I think there is no reason to get into this and leave it to the family and judiciary. People creating buzz out of somebody’s loss should never be taken seriously, it shows what background they come from, be it, anyone. “Dil Bechara” should be celebrated as a film, no scrutinizing, no criticizing, no business models, only sheer celebration. A soul has departed, let him be in peace wherever he is.

Aarvika Gupta: We all want to know what made Sushant take his life. With the CBI investigation now, I am sure we can expect him to get justice. Because honestly, no one was satisfied with whatever was happening with his case earlier. 'Dil Bechara' is a beautiful film. I feel that whatever love and attention this film got post his death, it wouldn't have received any if he was here with us. We should take it as a lesson to support the ones who are deserving. Even the media and audience should realize it and promote real talent.
