Channel Hop: Sony PAL’s Singhasan Battisi shifts to SAB TV

Creative Eye Ltd's popular show on Sony PAL, Singhasan Battisi will re-emerge on a different channel owing to public demand. Yes, you heard it right! Producers Dheeraj Kumar and Zuby Kocchar will now be taking the story forward on SAB TV. Well, here's more exclusive news for you loyal readers here... The show will now have a new title in Betaal Aur Singhasan Battisi. The grandeur and fantasy aspect prevailing in the show will be retained. But going by the comic genre that SAB TV operates on, an added punch of comedy will be added into the plot. And what's more, all the main cast of the Sony PAL show will be retained, except for the character of Betaal, which was played by Abhaas Mehta. Now the role of Betaal will be essayed by F.I.R. fame actor, Sandeep Aanand. We tried calling Sandeep Aanand as well as Siddharth Arora (part of the cast), but they were unapproachable. Our efforts to get in touch with Producer Dheeraj Kumar proved futile. We dropped a text to channel head Anooj Kapoor but did not receive any reply till the time of filing the article. If sources are to be believed, Betaal aur Singhasan Battisi will launch on SAB TV on 9 March and will take the 7.30pm slot. We hear that it will air six days a week. As we all know, Sony PAL has already shut shop. Watch this space for more updates.
