1. Ekta Kapoor is the daughter of veteran Bollywood actor Jeetendra and the Managing Director of Mumbai-based film, TV and web series production house 'Balaji Telefilms Limited', which was founded by her daughter itself. Bollywood actor Tushar Kapoor is her brother.

5. Ekta started her journey in the field of filmmaking at the tender age of 15 and there was no looking back for her after that. Her father and veteran Bollywood actor Jeetendra sponsored her financially when she decided to produce a film. Today, she aces in producing numerous films simultaneously in different languages and for different audiences.

8. Much later, Ekta, who made tear-jerkers for small screen, was one of the earliers producers who dared to flirt with risque genres with sensuous and erotic movies like Love, Sex aur Dhoka and Ragini MMS.
9. She launched her own OTT platform 'ALT Balaji' in April 2017, which is running pretty successfully in the present.

10. Ekta Kapoor loves perfection. Reportedly, she had rejected 19 costumes while selecting the best one for her show Kumkum Bhagya. In another instance, Ekta had torn-off the script of Kumkum Bhagya five times before zeroing down on the perfect script as the final one. She had also given the time slot of Pavitra Rishta to Kumkum Bhagya as she considered the former show to be very lucky for her.
11. Apart from filmmaking, Ekta is quite inclined towards the fashion business. The gorgeous diva also has her own clothing line which is labelled as ‘EK’. 12. Ekta is a hardcore animal lover. She has adopted several stray dogs that were injured or unwell near her office and house. The Balaji office also shelters and fosters some stray dogs like their regular members. Her brother Tusshar Kapoor also actively participates in their fostering.
13. Being a party animal, Ekta is infamous for turning up late at her own parties.
14. Ekta Kapoor has a quirky sense of humour and also makes everyone laugh with her funny one-liners.
15. Ekta is generally seen wearing black platform heels. Supporting the reason behind it, a report once stated that these platform sandals have been blessed by her personal astrologer.
