MUMBAI: Fitness is an essential part of an actor’s life. In this competitive industry, maintaining fitness and health is crucial. Actors employ various techniques to achieve this goal—some prefer hitting the gym, while others practice yoga and meditation, and some opt for a combination of both. As we celebrare International Yoga Day today, actor Ashish Dixit, who plays the role of Kartik in Sun Neo’s newly launched show Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya, shared insights into his fitness regimen for staying healthy and fit.

Ashish shared, “So, I'm big on hitting the gym, but I also make sure to include yoga in my routine. It's not just about physical fitness; it's about feeling good inside and out. Being fit helps me stay active and ready for all the opportunities that come my way in this industry.”

Revealing how incorporating Yoga has benefitted him, Ashish said, “Yoga really helps me connect deeply with my body and mind. It's like a way to reset and find balance amidst all the craziness. Plus, it's taught me a lot about discipline and being aware of myself, which is super important in my line of work where focus is key.

“One pose I really love is the Locust Pose or Salabhasana. It's like a full-body relaxation session, melting away tension and helping me recharge after a long day. Whether I'm lifting weights or finding my calm on the mat, staying fit and mentally sharp is important, and yoga has become my go-to for keeping both my body and mind in top shape,” he added.

Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya, a heartfelt family drama recently launched on Sun Neo, revolves around Vaishnavi (played by Brinda Dahal), an orphan who reveres Chhathi Maiyya (portrayed by Devoleena Bhattacharjee) as her mother. The show celebrates the triumph of good over evil, emphasizing faith and devotion to Chhathi Maiyya, who serves as a guiding force and protector for her devotees. Starring Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Sara Khan, Jaya Bhattacharya, Brinda Dahal, and Aashish Dixit, Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya airs Monday to Saturday at 7 PM on Sun Neo.
