Colors Bangla's Meera to feature an 'exciting' underwater sequence

Meera

It seems Bengali serials are going adventurous!

Wondering why we are saying so.

Well, it is because we hear that Colors Bangla daily ‘Meera’ (Grassroot Entertainment) is all set to feature a thrilling underwater sequence.

As per our credible sources, the track will show Subhankar (Rehaan Roy) rescuing Meera (Jasmine Roy) for which he would need to dive underwater.

Talking about his adventurous shooting experience, Rehaan shared, “I am feeling great as it was really a challenging experience. The producer, creative director everyone arranged a body double for the shoot but when I got to know about the scene, I felt if I don’t do these stunts all by myself, it would be injustice to my character.”

“It was really difficult shooting in the chilled water in the weather, specially when you don’t know swimming at all. But when it comes to my character, I don’t mind taking risks,” he added with confidence.

When asked how the team reacted after the shooting, he quipped, “They were all happy and literally clapped for me, specially my director.”

Director Amit Sengupta actually seemed quite happy with the development. Giving his view on the sequence, he said, “Male actors are not filmed in such a way in Bengali tele serials. The viewers will get to watch something different from what they watch every day.”

When quizzed why such scenes are not common here, he opined, “The main reason is constraint of budget. The requirements for such infrastructure is too high to be supported in a serial. I am glad that my producer (Jeet) agreed to support it.”

Great work, team Meera.

The episode will air soon.
