The minute one thinks about Daddaji aka Shamim Sheikh from Colors' Uttaran, he/she visualises a man with a commanding voice and an exceptional personality. But, unfortunately, he will go missing from the show very soon, as his character is to die in the upcoming episodes. As per a reliable source, Tej (Kiran Karmarkar) will be seen taking off the oxygen mask from Daddaji's face that will lead to his death. The entire family will be in grief. In fact on learning about his death, Ichcha (Tina Dutta) too will come to attend his funeral with Jogi Thakur (Ayub Khan), but will stand away from the crowd. Vikas Bhalla who has been playing Veer-post the leap, got very emotional while shooting for Daddaji's death scene. In fact he told us, "Daddaji was the strongest pillar of the Bundela family, he was a part of this show from the very beginning. Hence, I will miss him." After a pause, he added, "I have been a part of this show for only six months, but still I've had a wonderful time working with him. Hence, when I had to shoot for his last scene, I had tears in my eyes for real." Shamim ji too confirmed his death and said, "Yes, I have shot for my death sequence." Furthermore, talking about his exit from the show, he said, "I started shooting for this show in July 2009 and it's August 2012 now. So its been a long journey. I will miss shooting with the cast and crew. As for me, FilmFarm Productions is the best company to work with and so are its producers Pintoo and Rupali Guha. I will definitely work with them in the future." We are glad that Uttaran is going the logical way post-the leap and Daddaji's death proves that. He is too old, hence he must die unlike Baa, of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, who lived for almost 200 years (pun intended). All said and done, we will definitely 'miss' Daddaji.
