MUMBAI: Falguni Shah’s Dreamzz Images Studio is set to launch a new series on Nikah halala. The series titled ‘Halala’ will air on OTT platform ULLU app and it will be directed by Deepak Pandey.
Nikah halala is a law that requires a woman to marry and sleep with another man in order to return to her first husband.
The project to star stellar cast namely Diya Aur Baati Hum fame Deepika Singh, Ravi Bhatia who is known for his stint in Jodha Akbar, talented actress Neelima Azeem, Chidiya Ghar fame Shafaq Naaz and Eijaz Khan who was last seen in Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaagey.
According to our source, Shafaz will be seen playing the lead. Ravi and Eijaz will play her husband. Neelima will be seen as Ravi’s mother and Deepika to don the grab of a lawyer in the series.
Shafaq confirmed being part of the project while others remained unavailable for their comment.
The actors have already wrapped-up shoot and the series is expected to launch next month.
