MUMBAI: Television’s most favourite bahu Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who won millions of hearts post her portrayal of Gopi Bahu in Star Plus’ Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, is gearing up for her comeback.

The pretty actress, according to a reliable source, is shooting for a pilot for an upcoming show of Colors. As per the information, a new media firm named Optimus Productions is working for its debut venture. Abdul Sheikh, is the man behind the production house. The daily series is tentatively titled Kuch Naye Rishte and Bhattacharjee has been finalized to play the female protagonist.
The 33-year-old actress has already shot for the pilot of the upcoming soap. “The shooting is currently happening in Mira Road, Mumbai,” a little birdie reveals.
Apparently, an unexploited face, Pratham Girdhar has been locked opposite the actress to play the male protagonist. Girdhar has earlier played a lead role in DD 1’s Bandhan Kacche Dhaago Ka and had left a strong impact. The makers found him apt for the character- who will be romantically involved with Devoleena’s. If things materialize, this would be a big breakthrough for the good-looking actor.
The duo has shot for the pilot and unless the channel demands, they would be the final faces. The series, "which is at very initial stages" is currently directed by Manoj Singh.

Since her long-running daily soap has wrapped up, Devoleena has been in news for many shows. As per the last media buzz, she was also supposed to be a part of the same GEC’s show Silsila which is currently on air and stars Drashti Dhami and Shakti Arora.

Despite repeated attempts, Devoleena didn’t respond to our calls and messages. We couldn’t get in touch with Pratham or anyone from the production house.
