Star Plus show Anupamaa has been unbeatable on the BARC charts. The show has been securing the top position for a couple of months now. The story is highly appreciated by the audience. Anupamaa is produced by Rajan Shahi’s Directors’ Kut Productions. It is one of the very few shows that has not only given recognition and fame to the lead pair but also the entire star cast of the show, who has tasted fame after their association with the show.
One of the popular actresses from the show is Alpana Buch, who plays the character of Leela (Baa). Leela’s character has many shades. She is a strong individual who is biased towards her son Vanraj and has unknowingly been harsh towards her daughter-in-law Anupamaa. Alpana aces the role of Leela. She is funny, entertaining, and demanding (as per the script).

Alpana has been married to Mehul Buch, who played Lovely’s (Anjali Anand) influential father in Star Plus show Kulfii Kumarr Bajewala.
