In a virtual press conference held by the channel, producer Dheeraj Kumar and the primary cast members of the show had an intellectual and interesting interaction with the media. In the press conference, Dheeraj Kumar revealed that they didn’t use a lot of VFX and computerised graphics for their show. They believed in reality and authenticity. The producer said, “We didn’t dwell much on the graphics. The snakes used on Shiv were real. We had three identical cobras which were always present on the sets. We had made special arrangements for the snakes on the sets. One cobra cannot hold on for long in a particular scene, and hence, we kept three of them available for smooth functioning. Actor Sunil Sharma who played the character pulled it off brilliantly."
Sunil Sharma added, “I remember Dheeraj Sir asking me about my hometown. I told him I’m from Ujjain and he believed that I’ll be able to pull off the character well as I belong to the place of Mahakal. Initially, I was a bit hesitant. I remember the first few shots with the real cobra which were a little petrifying. But with time, I kind off got used to it. The feeling of having them on my body along with the entire Mahadev’s get-up was surreal. I used to focus on my character and rest I believe Mahadev helped me to ace the character. Also, I would like to mention the confidence that Dheeraj sir showed in me, helped me give my all to the character”.
Interesting, isn’t it?
