MUMBAI: Seen in shows like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Swaragini, and recently in Dil Hi Toh Hai, Manoj Chandila is one actor with impeccable talent. Like every actor, he too is hungry to play diverse roles and is currently on the lookout for something that challenges him as an artist.

We wonder what is keeping the man busy these days.

Well, it is books. We know that a lot of celebrities like Mouni Roy and Sriti Jha are avid readers, and Manoj is the latest to join the bandwagon.

He says, ‘I have developed the habit of reading lately, and I must say it is a very good habit, as it changes the way you perceive, interpret, or respond to things in a subliminal way. It very naturally helps you communicate better. This book by Robert Green titled Mastery is something I suggest to people who are into reading. The way he has written this piece is engrossing and he is very articulate.’

When we quizzed him about his stint on television, Manoj averred, ‘Well, every actor wants to do varied and diverse roles. The roles that I am being offered do not give me a chance to experiment with my look or performance, but I am on the hunt for such a kind of a role. I have had a very close association with Rashmi Sharma Telefilms and Balaji Telefilms in my career and would love to be a part of their projects in the future as well.’
