The pretty looking Divyaalakshmi recently moved out of Sony TV’s Maharana Pratap and Life OK’s Hum Ne Li Hai ... Shapath. However she made the best use of the time post her exit from these shows.
Wondering what was the actress doing in her free time?
Well, she participated in an international belly dancing competition in China called ‘Dance for Unity’.
The actress is back from the trip and in a conversation with Tellychakkar.com she opened about her passion for belly dancing and the overall experience of the trip.
“This competition takes place in China every year and this year it was in Shanghai. Basically, world’s best belly dancers participate and also hold workshops. This year 60 nations participated in it and I took workshop from 12 such experts, Samantha Emanuel being my favourite. The others were Moria Chappell, Jill Parker, Tamalyn, Ranga, Didem and Oscar Flores,” stated Divyaalakshmi.
She further went on to add, “There is so much talent in this world and it’s beautiful to see it all come together. Trust me, I’ve learnt a lot through this event. I’ve basically learnt Egyptian belly dancing and I wanted to learn tribal fusion and tribal belly dancing techniques and I got to learn it there.”
Did you also perform? “For someone who has been there for the first time ever, like me, it’s best to observe and learn things. Next year I’ll be more prepared.”
What about TV? “I have a few offers but I still have to finalise on them,” said the actress.
TV industry is filled with multi talented people, we must say.
