In a brief tete-a-tete with Tellychakkar.com, she tells us about her new show and her journey in tellywood. About the show It's a one hour weekly comic show on INX. The story revolves around three characters played by me, Tanuja Samarth and Gaurav Gera. The concept of the show is very unique and people will love watching it. My character I have just finished shooting my first schedule. I play a girl from a middle class family. Viewers will be shocked to see me portraying such a role. My character will remind you of Johny Lever in Baazigar. But it's not an elderly character as I'm not too game playing one, unless it's sketched out exceptionally well. I'll be playing myself in the show. That's all that I can reveal at the moment. Do you identify yourself with the character? Both of us are sensitive and emotional fools. The only difference is that I'm not too humorous like my character. Does your character resemble Kajal bhai? Not exactly. I'm playing a character that's fond of all the girlie stuff whereas Kajal bhai was completely different. Portraying the role of a bhai was the biggest challenge for me but as an actor I would love to essay different roles. What kind of rapport you share with your co-actors? Tanujaji is a senior actress, so it's a pleasure working with her and Gaurav always makes me laugh on petty things. One gets to learn a lot from senior actors. Your take on doing comedy shows? I love comedy shows as the excitement and thrill you experience is unmatched to any other genre. Doing comedy is fun but difficult too. After Hum Paanch, I did receive good offers but refused as wanted to experiment with different genres of entertainment. How difficult was it for you to return back to comedy after playing negative act in Durgesh Nandini? My character in Durgesh Nandini was a much needed change from comedy. I enjoyed doing it but it didn't work well and I opted out. I think people want me to continue doing comedy shows.
