'Double whammy' for Tumhari Paakhi; show completes 100 episodes and gets an extension too

Iqbal Khan and Shraddha Arya
Shashi-Sumeet Productions Pvt. Ltd’s show Tumhari Paakhi on Life OK, based on the novel Naba Bidhan by Sarat Chandra Chhatopadhyay, has got an extension. The series was initially scheduled to be of 100 episodes (which was completed today), but owing to its climbing numbers the channel has now planned to give it an extension. Said Producer Sumeet Mittal in confirmation: “Yes, the show has got an extension and it will air for a year now (as of now). The serial has been accepted very well by the audiences and they want to see it as a longer series. It’s winning more and more hearts every day. Tumhari Pakkhi has given lot of credibility to the production house.” Indeed a proud moment for the makers. But hitting 100 episodes does call for a celebration. “It is a special day today. A day for some victory dance with our show getting an extension. I feel success comes from Allah and nothing good happens without God and this is all because of him. We are also the number one show on Life OK,” said Iqbal Khan aka Anshuman Rathore of Tumhari Paakhi. What about celebration? “We’ve been shooting for Maha episodes back-to-back. Hence we wouldn’t be celebrating at the moment but we would be doing it sometime in the first week of April for sure.” We tried contacting Shraddha Arya aka Paakhi but she remained unavailable for comment. Congratulations, team Tumhari Paakhi!
