Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai cast takes the philanthropic route

Star Plus and Cinevistaas’s show Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, organized a special event for young cancer patients last Saturday (16 June 2012) evening. This fun-filled programming was flagged off by an interesting magical show. Later, Niaa Sharma, who plays cancer afflicted Maanvi in the above show, came on stage and danced and joked with the kids along with co-star Kushal Tandon (aka Virat). Star also made a contribution of Rs 1 lack towards the organization CPPA (Cancer Patients Aid Association) which takes care of these kids. Later talking to the media, Niaa said, “We normally get upset over small things and here these kids are fighting for their lives and yet seem so happy and carefree. If the motive of this event was Maanvi inspiring these kids, then the effect has become opposite as after the interaction I have found new energy to play my character.” Niaa further added that when she was shooting she had to make sure that she had the sick and depressed body language, but these kids look as beautiful as ever. When asked her about the beautiful dancing (to the hit number Anarkali Disco Chali) session she had with the kids, she said, “I was very tired but just seeing these kids energy and passion, even my feet started moving. I also felt that this was the best opportunity to spend some fun moments with them for we might never meet again. ” Kushal, who’s character Virat is fully supporting Maanvi in her fight against cancer, said that, “Family, friends and relatives can help the sick in many ways; financial if they need the money and if they are well to do, we can just be with them in their hour of need.”
