Ekta Kapoor remembers her first show Hum Paanch

MUMBAI: Ekta Kapoor is the queen of television; she is one of the most successful producers and most powerful personalities of the entertainment industry. She is not only a successful producer in the world of television but also in the field of movies and the digital world.

Ekta started her company in a small garage, with her first serial on television being Hum Paanch, which aired on Zee TV. The serial was a huge success because of the fabulous cast and the funny storyline.

Hum Paanch today is a cult show, and the audience still talks about. The serial also starred ace Bollywood actress Vidya Balan. It recently completed 24 years of its release.

Ekta shared the promo of the serial and captioned it saying, ‘On a Tuesday third week of March a small production house launched a show from an office created in a garage! A mother daughter duo started a show of a father with five daughters! 24 years later it’s still one show that makes ppl smile! Sorry for the bad video quality but lots was lost in the floods in 2005 July! Thanku.’
