Ekta's Kahaani pushed further, Jaane Pehchaane gets an extension

Ekta’s ambitious venture Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani on Star One will have to wait some more as the show gets delayed by another two weeks. The show is now set to launch on October 11. Several reasons have been cited for the delay however the real reason is the show does not have a bank of episodes yet. A source informs, “The show is getting pushed behind every time for different reasons. Initially it was to launch in June but then was finalized for September 20. The promos were out however the show does not have enough episodes for it to go on air. Plus Ekta Kapoor had fired close to 25 writers because she was not happy with the script. Now the Jaane Pehchaane Se Yeh Ajnabbi team has got a two weeks’ extension and have been asked to extend their storyline just enough for two more weeks. The time slot will still remain the same.” We sent a text to producer Siddarth Malhotra of Cinevistaas, the makers of Jaane Pehchaane Se… but he did not revert.
