MUMBAI: Elvish Yadav, the YouTube sensation-turned-reality television superstar, has been on an unstoppable rise in the world of entertainment. Known for his sharp wit, magnetic personality and unfiltered authenticity, Elvish has transitioned seamlessly from the digital screen to television – and his journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.
In an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar, Elvish opens up about his triumphant debut on Bigg Boss OTT 2, his dynamic presence across reality shows, and his views on the evolving space for digital influencers in mainstream television.
There’s been quite a buzz around the arguments between Gautam Gulati and Neha Dhupia on Roadies. What’s your take on it?
Look, these kinds of clashes are part and parcel of reality shows. Things heat up in the moment, but off-camera, we all shared meals and got along. Of course, the dramatic bits make it to the episodes – that’s television for you! But beyond that, there was camaraderie and mutual respect among us all.
Reports suggest that Bigg Boss makers might be hesitant about bringing YouTubers and influencers on the show moving forward. What are your thoughts on that?
To begin with, I don’t think anything’s been officially confirmed. But if it is true, I’d say it’s quite unfair. Influencers bring a huge audience and a fresh energy to the show. I think it’s more of an insecurity from some actors who feel threatened when the spotlight shifts. In my season, everyone was treated equally – actor or influencer – and ultimately, it’s the audience who decides the winner. That’s how it should be.
There’s no denying that Elvish Yadav has carved a unique and powerful niche in Indian entertainment. From his digital roots to reality show stardom, he continues to prove that talent, authenticity, and fan power are a winning combination.
