MUMBAI: Some backward villages in India still have these regressive customs which exploit women. Dangal TV launched a new show – Nath – Zevar Ya Zanzeer. The show has Chahat Pandey and Arjit Taneja playing lead roles. The story revolves around the social custom of vulnerable people from the village giving away daughters if the parents are not able to repay their debts taken from the affluent in villages.
Mahua, a little girl who is bright in studies, comes to know when she turns 18, that she has been given away and her ‘Nath Utrayi’ custom will happen soon. Ravi Gossain plays an essential role in the show and in an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar.com, he opened up on his role among other things.
What do you like most about this character?
The character is quite typical that he could do anything for the loved ones.
How is this character different from the past?
I have done double shades character but this is different because he doesn’t respect women on one side but at the other hand his mom is his everything.
Can you describe your journey?
Before an actor I was a dancer, I had an accident and I couldn’t dance for 2-3 years so I stared doing theatre workshops, so there I got Parvarish and if you see I have not struggled much but the struggle never ends.
What is your comfort food on the sets?
A good scene is my comfort food.
