EXCLUSIVE! As actors, we need something to keep challenging us and Thoda Sa Baadal Thoda Sa Paani was the perfect opportunity for me: Harshad Arora

MUMBAI: Thoda Sa Baadal Thoda Sa Paani is an musical drama on Colors TV The series stars Ishita Dutta and Harshad Arora in the lead roles.

Produced by Optimystix Entertainment, the show explores the heart-warming story of a sweet and simple Bengali girl, Kajol Mukherjee. She is all set to marry Arjun Sen, a handsome man from the corporate world. However, Kajol's father passes away unexpectedly which forces her to re-set her life. She then takes over the traditional role of a male-patriarch in the family and the story will then focus on the ups and downs approaching her life and how she blocks them, balancing it with running-relationships and growing responsibilities.

In an exclusive conversation with Harshad Arora, he shared, "Basically it was something new and I never tried. So far I was playing only good roles and positive roles. It has alot of layers in the character. In every new show I try to see if there is something different in it and what more I can learn from the character. So when I heard of the character I thought this sounds really good because it’s alot of scope to enjoy.

 In the positive characters you are consigned to some parameters but in this character, there is wide scope of improvisation and performances."

We asked Harshad about what is the X factor about his character.

Harshad expressed, "Arjun Chatterjee is basically a very independent, ambitious and manipulative at the same time. What he wants, he gets it anyhow no matter how far he has to go for it. He is self centered and ruthless, flirtatious, charming and shows off too. These are the some of the layers of the character. There is a good and bad point in every human being. So it’s kind of more relatable. I think the audience is going to love the topic."

When asked if he is nervous if the audience will like the character and will attract good response, Harshad stated, "Not really, because that is exactly the reason I took up the show. I want to experiment with my roles and as an actor, I want to level up my performance. Even we as  actors need something to keep challenging us and this was the perfect opportunity for me. You never know if your experiments may work or not. So it is good sometimes to do what you have never done. Let’s see how is the audience responds."
