EXCLUSIVE! 'Ajit is a character that hasn't been explored by any actor yet' Ajay Singh Chaudhary OPENS UP on his character in Swaran Ghar; he even reveals the script got him emotional

MUMBAI: After the grand success of Udaariyaan, the power couple Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta are back with yet another path-breaking show with a fresh concept. Swaran Ghar has been the most anticipated show in recent times, the show has been already garnering a lot of love from the audience, the concept is not only heart touching but makes you feel like the Bedis are a part of your family.

Ajit aka Ajay Singh Chaudhary marks his return on Television with Swaran Ghar, we got in touch with the actor to know about his character, the reason to agree for the show and more. You would need to take note of all his responses for sure, check it out: 

Talking about the character Ajay revealed, 'My character's name is Ajit, Ajit Lamba. I am playing a crucial part in Kanwal and Swaran's life, as the story unfolds you will come to know how the character turns important. I said yes, initially I was not sure about doing it when Sargun called me. Sargun has been a dear friend, we had done Phulwa on Colors' in 2011, then we became friends. She has become a producer and her show Udaariyaan is doing so well, then she called me for this character and I wasn't sure as I was busy with OTT, I have a few projects in the pipeline there. '

'Later, we had a conversation again and we discussed the story as friends. She narrated the story and concept for me. The last time I got moved by listening to any story, it is rare to really get involved in the story and you see all the characters alive. You start feeling the situations, character and show, I felt the same and even got a little emotional during the narration. I asked her why do you want me to play this character to which she told me, when I was conceptualizing the character, you were the one in my mind. This is one of the most important characters in my story and I want you to do this.' he added 

While sharing his reason to agree for the show he said, 'My conviction came in much later when I said yes to my character. I convinced myself that I will play this character. It is very challenging and a character that has not been explored yet. They are all simple, we get to see these kinds of people in real life, it was Sargun's belief in me that was way more than my own. She was convinced that I would fit the character, so then I couldn't even say no to it as the story really moved me.' 

We asked him whether he was experimenting with his look and he told us, 'Yes, It is a very simple character, it should look very simple in terms of acting, reactions and his personality, it can't go overboard. You would relate to his simplicity, Ajit is not the fashion hero here, he is just as normal as your family member. 
 
Currently, in the show, Swaran and Kanwal's friends throw a party for their 30th anniversary, amid the celebration, Vikram's call ruins Swaran's mood and shatters all her trust in her sons as he reveals that he had sent the broker home to sell Swaran Ghar and they don't have a single penny to help for Dad's recovery, Nakul isn't calling them to America instead he suggests that they must sell the house. A special friend is invited to the party, Ajit, his entry makes Swaran remember the past days and Kanwal feels she would be safe with him if he passes away soon.
