EXCLUSIVE! 'Anita is the only villain without any gaudy makeup or attires’: Shrashti Maheshwari shares her experience on being Anita in Pandya Store, how she prefers the character to look, and more

I try to make Anita look real, not just with the looks be even with her behaviour, she is someone who would look pale and do something unbelievably villainous, says Shrashti Maheshwari.

Shrashti Maheshwari aka Anita has been a celebrated name in the industry, from being Pari to Anita, the actress has come a long way. She not only proved her mettle in the industry but made many hearts skip a beat with her craft.

We rang the gorgeous much and the fun chat lasted longer than expected, here's what she shared.

What do you think about your character Anita in Pandya Store?

It's good to be part of the show as Anita, but somewhere I feel that the character needs to be stronger. If the villain isn't strong then the hero also wouldn't look that extravagant. Her greys are not discovered yet, she is still using childlike tactics to seek revenge. As a performer, I feel that Anita has to turn more confident with her negative performance. The character has been explored in all the shades with her positive side, her pale phase, and all.

I try to make Anita look real, not just with the looks be even with her behaviour, she is someone who would look pale and do something unbelievably villainous. I often fight with my makers to keep Anita look very simple, a girl next door who holds the potential to bring a storm in anybody's life with her intentions.

Which would be your most adored character from your career span?

I adore my character Roshni that I played earlier, she was the perfect example of a positive character. If I am ever asked who do I love the most it will always be Roshni. I would love to play that character back again, she wasn't someone who would sit and cry about it instead find a solution and keep a positive approach.

What kinds of projects do you want to do ahead?

I would want to work on projects with a good director. Honestly, when it comes to bagging a role now there are these sheep groups that all casting directors and production teams have and they keep rotating the shows with the same actors often. I don't want to be a part of that group where I would keep doing auditions and my work would only turn into a folder of auditions for them. I keep things choosy, only if I know that my efforts shall turn into something fruitful.

Talking about favourites, what is your go-to attire, your food preferences?

My go-to attire has always been denim shorts and full sleeve top. It is one attire that I could wear anywhere on most occasions. Talking about food preferences, I am a vegetarian, I would always devour Ghar ka khana over anything.

Well, we are surely adoring Anita in the show, and you?
