Exclusive! Ankit Gupta reveals that he cried on the launch day of Udaariyaan, deets inside

MUMBAI:Colors’ most loved show, Udaariyaan was running on small screens for more than a year, garnering huge praises from the viewers.

It starred Ankit Gupta, Priyanka Choudhary Chahar and Isha Malviya in the lead roles. Now, the makers have introduced a 16-year leap with new actors making their way to the show, and the old star cast have exited.

The show was surely known for it’s intriguing twists and turns but most importantly it was known because of the chemistry between Tejo and Fateh. The couple has touched a lot of hearts with the love and understanding that were showcased in the show.

Ankit, who played the role of Fateh in the show, has become a household name. Ankit has wrapped up his shoot for Udaariyaan.

Tellychakkar got in touch with the actor recently to ask him about his list of favourites and the answers are quite interesting.

Myself.

Your favourite role till date?

Actually I can’t say a favourite role but I’ll say this – every role has given me something different.

Your favourite director?

I have a great bonding with all my directors. When I sit and talk to Uttam sir, he has a different vision and he’s so involved in his work. It’s amazing to work with him.

Your favourite Bollywood actress that you have a crush on?

I find Kiara Advani too cute these days.

What’s your favourite stress-buster?

Movies. I’m a movie buff. If I’m tired, I watch a movie. If I’m bored, I watch a movie. I want to learn something, I watch a movie.If I know acting or even a little bit about the world, it’s all because of movies.

Your favourite movie?

Well, there’s a long list of them. Top 5 would be – Top Gun, Schindler’s List, Life Is Wonderful, Batman Trilogy, Godfather. Any classic movie. There’s Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, any Tom Hardy movie.

Your favourite fictional character?

James Bond.

Your favourite and the most memorable moment?

Udaariyaan launch day. When I saw the first episode, I was so overwhelmed that I was crying.

Your favourite emoticon?

The laughing emoticon with tears coming out.

What’s your message to your fans?

I’m so grateful for all the love and support that I’ve received from all the people from all over the world. Udaariyaan is quite famous so I’m really grateful and I will try and come back with a new project, surely with something very interesting. Just keep showering your love and keep praying for me.
