MUMBAI: Nakuul Mehta stars as the ever-suave Ram Kapoor on the second season of Bade Acche Lagte Hai. Nakuul is one of the most popular actors on television who has also proven his mettle with his OTT shows like ‘Never Kiss Your Best Friend’ and short films on youtube and Amazon Mini TV.
Nakuul is also considered a very versatile actor who takes on projects of different kinds and fans are always on the lookout for the same. Nakuul started his career with the Star Plus show Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyara Pyara along with Disha Parmar. The two have come a long way since then, now playing the coveted roles of Ram Kapoor and Priya Sood in Bade Acche Lagte Hai 2.
Bade Achhe Lagte Hai 2 has been a breath of fresh air amongst the same drama that is minted out when it comes to custody. There are negative characters who are always classy and the way Nandani carries out her plans is marvelous. You as a viewer have to sort off tip your cap to her. The show doesn't thrive on suspense, they don’t drag out confrontations. Priya is headstrong and so is Nandani and they are not hiding or conniving with each other.
A lot has happened on the show, and after a lot of twists and turns, when fans thought that Ram and Priya finally might get together, they were hit with another twist.
But now the rumors are circulating that Bade Acche Lagte Hai 2 might be taking a generation leap and will focus on the story of Pihu, Ram Kapoor and how she navigates life. But the rumours also say that Nakuul Mehta, who plays the whole of Ram Kapoor might quit the show sometime in the near future because of this generation leap.
Well, TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor and he stated that he had just come back from the vacation and that the future is still uncertain. He would not like to comment on the rumours of his departure from the show.
While Nakuul has refused to comment, people on the internet seem too sure that Ram and Priya will not be a part of the show after the generation leap. It would not be unprecedented, because we saw that while on one hand shows like Naagin, Yeh Hai Chahtein and more managed to retain the leads, shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Udaariyaan and Imlie saw a whole new generation take over.
