Following a compelling fifteen-year leap, the storyline has taken an exciting turn, with the Kothari family coming into the picture and the story is focusing on Rahi and Prem’s love story.
The latest track sees the arrival of the influential Kothari family, led by Prem’s relatives, who have made their hostility towards the Shah family abundantly clear—especially towards Anupamaa and Rahi.

Sumbul Touqeer gave a strong response to netizens who were fat-shaming her online. She even gave them a reason for why she is gaining weight but the twist came when Rupali Ganguly also came in her support and expressed how proud she is of her.
When Rupali Ganguly was asked about it in an exclusive conversation, she said, “I’m very fond of Sumbul. You must have seen Ravivaar with Star Parivaar mein we’ve gotten close and mera ek attachment hai uske saath, Pranali ke saath. Ravivaar with Star Parivaar ke time pe, we just became close. Sumbul ne jab yeh kal likha, I mean she is a young girl and yeh trollers jo hote hai, oh my god, they don’t spare anybody, mere bacche tak ko spare nahi kiya inhone. So I can imagine how it affects a person, all this type of negativity. Aap sochte ho ki aap ignore karo, but ek time pe who log itni hadh paar kar jate hai, then it’s not about being a celebrity, you have to answer these idiots back, honestly.”
Rupali added, “And I loved what she wrote. Tum log toh matlab ek dum zero figure wali ho na jo tum log likh rahi ho ghar baith ke. Main genuinely inn sabki photos dekhna chahti hu yeh jo faltu log hai, jo baith ke troll karte hai dusro ko unko looks ke liye, unke weight ke liye, main genuinely dekhna chahti hu ke tum kaise dikhte ho bhai! Bolna nahi chahiye. Everybody is god’s creation…”
