MUMBAI: Balika Vadhu 2's Khimji aka Anshul Trivedi has been an eminent name in the industry. The actor earlier shared about being a part of the show's first season as well and how it has been an intriguing journey.
Well, now that the show is taking a leap, we will not see Anshul in the show, we rang the dapper to know more about his reason behind this decision, his upcoming projects and more. Here's what he had to share:
What was the reason behind not continuing Khimji in the show?
I have decided to not continue with my portrayal of ‘Khimji Bhujaria’ in Balika Vadhu 2 as the story is taking a generational leap.
Balika Vadhu 2 has been a fulfilling experience. I am glad to be the face of the show till now. My best wishes to the new team. I am certain that the new cast will also be adored by the audience. I am thankful that our producers Mr Sunjoy Waddhwa, Mrs Comall Sunjoy Waddhwa and the channel chose me for the portrayal of the key part in the second season of this iconic show. I wish our paths cross once again in good times in future.
Now that you are not going to be a part of the show, what are your plans?
A feature film is likely to start by the 2nd week of December which is to be shot in Varanasi, parts of Gujarat and Mumbai. My film ‘Kesariya’ which I was shooting in Kutch when the lockdown was imposed is to be finished. The second half of the film is based in the U.K. we are hoping to start the shoot by January 2022 as permissions are a bit of an issue there. Another film tentatively titled ‘Love Atrangi’ which was announced last year will be shot at Scotland post ‘Kesariya’.
Talking about Television, are you looking out for something there too?
Haven’t signed anything on the Television set. I am looking for meatier entertaining parts. I haven’t worked with Balaji Telefilms yet, I am hoping to work with them.
Well, a character like Khimji couldn't have been better portrayed than what Anshul did, we shall surely miss him in the show.
