EXCLUSIVE! Bobby Parvez talks about Star Plus’ Imlie and his character; says, “I am very thankful to whatever has inspired me to

MUMBAI :  Imlie is one of the most loved and successful shows on television. We saw a huge leap in the show after which Imlie and Chini are all grown up. The latest plot has been about Atharva and Imlie’s life post-marriage.

Bobby Parvez is currently portraying Rudra Rana, Atharva’s father in the show. He is immensely loved for his character and performance.

He is known for Stories by Rabindranath Tagore (2015), Black Friday (2004), and C.I.D. (1998).

Tellychakkar recently got in touch with the actor and got to know interesting insights about the show and his character.

What are your thoughts on the current track of the show Imlie?

“I love Gul Khan’s shows in any case and since I am intrinsically involved in this, I would have a biased opinion. But I love it, I love most of the stuff she does in her shows. More than that, I love the fact that the actors on the show are really good. They put in a lot of effort so that is exciting.”

The case between you and Chini where you are constantly trying to sabotage each other’s move, will this keep on going like this?

“I wish anybody knew but that is all respective to what the public wants. As long as it is doing good and keeps the audience’s interest alive, it seems exciting to me while doing it. I am presuming the people I know are enjoying watching it. I presume it is going to go on but it will stop eventually at some time. They can’t keep this on forever but while they do, it is going to be fun to watch.”

How do you feel about playing a character which is prominently positive but with a hint of grey?

“Life is always grey. I love playing Rudra and it is very exciting. I know how television treats men, how many chances it gives for male actors to exhibit their talent and it is superb. I am very thankful for whatever has inspired me to take this. One wants to go higher and higher. But I can only be grateful to whoever has made me reach here and Ashish sir, our director. I am a good actor but I intend to improve my performance.”
