MUMBAI: Nishad Vaidya is an integral part of Qurbaan Hua on Zee TV. While he was seen as the lead role in Amita Ka Amit, the show which gave a kickstart to his career, he is now seen in this show in a unique role.

Usually, actors prefer being a part of shows which have them as the main lead, this time, we are seeing him in a character which is not the lead but quite a contributor to the overall story. In an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar.com, Nishant opened up and gave his take on not being choosy about playing lead roles, his first reaction when he bagged the show among other things.

Nishant shared, “Since 2 years I was manifesting really strongly that I wanted to play good negative roles but I always wanted to play on commercial TV channel. But when I offered this show I was really amazed. When you get what you manifest you do your work with belief and more hard work. I was so excited and I was jumping with joy! “ (Also Read: Pratibha Ranta: It’s not easy but you’ve to be that sort of an actor who can live his/her character behind once the job gets done)

We asked him if it bothers him that he is not the lead in the show?

Nishad averred, “What I feel and I think lead and all this is just a name. People love to be the hero. Anybody, any guy or any women if you tell them for work they say is it the lead role. I think in different way. It doesn’t matter if you’re playing second lead or first lead or villain. What my understanding is if the character is strong and powerful the character itself is a lead. That can become a lead. You don’t have to choose for a lead and that is why people go into a trip. A lot of young people are struggling for that psychology and there are many good characters they miss out on. I only focus on the character. If tomorrow I get a show where I am playing a cop or I am playing any kind of powerful character I would not see who is playing the lead. I will say chuck it to the leads. I don’t go with that form. If I am getting offer of the lead or the second lead and inspite of being lead it’s a powerful character so why not to attempt it.”

We also asked the actor if there is one thing that he would like to change about his character in Qurbaan Hua. Nishad expressed, “I don’t think I want to change the character. But if I am given an opportunity I would like to shave my beard. I just want to see how he will look clean shaven (laughs).”
