MUMBAI: The second season of Thapki Pyaar Ki has also garnered immense love from the audience with Jigyasa Singh, Akash Ahuja and Jaya Bhattacharya in pivotal roles.
Just recently, we got to know that Jigyasa has quit the show and Prachi Bansal has joined as the new Thapki in the show, we got in touch with Akash Ahuja to know about his journey with Thapki and his reaction to Jigyasa's quitting news. Check out what he had to say:
How has the journey been for you in Thapki?
It has been a very interesting and fun journey for me. Ever since the pandemic hit I was waiting to get back to perform in front of the camera. Here I got to play all sorts of shades with just one character, the cherry on the cake have been my co-actors, be it Jigyasa, Jaya Ma'am, Dadi. It had been hectic as we were shooting for seven days of the week a few days ago but even that has been a lot of fun.
Now that we know that Jigyasa has quit the show, what was your reaction?
It was very tough for all of us, even Jigyasa, she didn't want to quit but the circumstances were such that she had to. I won't lie it has been really tough because we shared a great bond on set. It was fun to do scenes with her, we were on the same wavelength. That is very essential to bring out the chemistry and it is reflected on-screen with us.
With a new Thapki, is it going to be challenging for you?
I think it is going to be challenging for the new Thapki, Jigyasa has set such high standards, it wouldn't be difficult for me, ofcourse we shared a great bond. I don't think that would affect our performance. It would be really difficult for the new girl, the kind of performances Jigyasa has given are stupendous. There is stammering in the character and for anybody who has to perform to match it would be tough. I am very positive, we are working hard. I hope things will fall into their place.
