MUMBAI : Actor Jay Soni is currently seen in Star Bharat's show Sasuraal Genda Phool 2.

The handsome hunk reprised the role of Ishaan Kashyap once again after a decade and fans couldn't hold back their excitement.

When the makers announced the second season of Sasuraal Genda Phool, the viewers were jumping with joy.

With many expectations, the show launched last year in December.

While the first season had a good run for two years, the viewers had loads of expectations from the second season as well.

But unfortunately, it did not create the same magic and within 4 months, the makers announced the show's wrap leaving everyone shocked.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Jay who plays the lead role in the show.

What criteria do you set for yourself while signing a project on any web platform?

I always look out for performance-oriented roles. Be it any medium. I always focus on performance where I can show my talent. I go to my work every day to fulfill my passion and not just do it for the sake of it. I should feel that sense of satisfaction when I come back home from work.

You have worked in the Hindi as well as the Gujarati industry. Did you find any difference between the two industries?

I have done one Gujarati movie called Lambo Rasto. The Gujarati industry is producing some great content. But unfortunately, I haven't been offered anything exciting yet. I would love to do it if I am offered a great role.

How do you manage to spend time with your family, especially with your daughter amid the hectic schedules?

I am not able to spend that much time with her. When she wakes up, I am already at work and when I come home, she is awake but I am extremely tired after a long day of work. I try to play with her for some time. But then I don't get time for myself.

She recognizes me if she sees me on-screen and if there are certain scenes that she finds a bit weird, she asks to switch off the TV.

Stay tuned to TellyChakkar for all the latest updates.
