MUMBAI : Neil Bhatt is an Indian television actor known for portraying Ranveer Singh Vaghela in Roop - Mard Ka Naya Swaroop and ACP Virat Chavan in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.
Neil studied law but acting and dance have always been his passion. In 2020, Bhatt met actress Aishwarya Sharma on the sets of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein and the couple soon fell in love. They announced their engagement in January 2021 and got married in November 2021 in Ujjain.
The show has been doing really well and is always amongst the top five. The audience loves the track and the chemistry Neil shares with Aishwarya on screen.
Tellychakkar recently got in touch with the actor and got to know interesting insights.
How are you liking the current track of the show? What can the audience expect from the upcoming plot?
“I think I am liking the way the show is progressing. I like the mature take on the relationship dynamics in the show, the relations that the three characters share at present, that is, Sai, Pakhi, and Virat. The three characters of the show, the way they relate to each other, and react to each other, I think the writers and the makers are playing on devices like misconceptions and misunderstandings and being right in your own space and in your own viewpoint. Every character is right in their own process. This was the one-line brief we were given post the leap, that the three characters are going to have a battle of the rights. I like the way things are going and hopefully, the audience also likes it. From the upcoming plot, the audience can expect what you always have been expecting from the show that is high level of drama and a lot of emotional depth from our characters. In the show you will see what are the character motivations and why they are doing what they are doing.”
You and Aishwarya are from the same field and it happens when a couple belongs to the same field, they talk about it a lot. What is life like for you two off-screen?
“Of course, we do discuss work. It is a huge part of our conversations but not the main part. There is so much more to life than work. We discuss other things, personal things of course that I can't talk about publicly. We discuss how a scene could have been done better. It's always about improving what we have done in the day. Apart from that, we talk about future storylines if we get to know them earlier. We also discuss household stuff, and how to live and plan our lives. We are still in the initial stage of our relationship which happens to be intertwined beautifully with our work. We are trying to balance our work and married life. It's a very unique situation we both are in because our work becomes a very crucial part of our relationship because we met through it but at the same time we try to carve a niche for our relationship in our lives so that our relationship is not solely dependent on our work. We're very happy about it but there should also be a separate identity of our relationship. Also the madness you see on our social media. We both are crazy and that is also a part of our relationship, keeping the crazy alive.”
your character Virat has had an enormous graph from being really aggressive to now being so considerate and caring. What do you have to say about that?
“Yes, there has been a graph for Virat. If I am not wrong, Virat was earlier in a way portrayed as a more soft-spoken, calmer person and more considerate. Later on, as you peel the layers, that's how you come to know more about it. That is how layers of the character Virat have come out. There is a very aggressive side of him that the writers have tried to shed light on. As and when the show progressed, the aggression at various parts of his life has been brought out and sometimes rightly placed sometimes not so rightly placed. So he used to be a little more considerate and later on as life happened to Virat, he became a little more aggressive. I am still exploring the character, still trying to make Virat human, and still trying to make sense of the aggression. I am trying to make him a person so that I can relate to him. If I can relate to Virat, the audience can relate. When I say relate, it means the audience understands the reason behind my actions as Virat. It may not be the right thing, but understanding why he did it.”
