While there is still some time for the show to bid adieu, the viewers are already upset about it and are surely going to miss it.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Nishant who is portraying the role of Dr Waseem Ansari in the show.
What kind of progress have you seen in your character?
Waseem's character is extremely diverse in the show. Nilanjana ma’am and Shashank have written my character exceptionally well. My character's background is really strong. Waseem is extremely confident about his own things in his life. The viewers have seen a lot of shades in Waseem's character.
If given a chance, whose character would you like to portray from the show?
If I got a chance, I would have played Dr Vikrant Saxena's character that is being played by Rohit. His character has many shades. I would have loved playing his character.
One thing you have learned about your character and will always try to inculcate in your life.
As Nishant, I don't agree with a lot of ideologies of Waseem. There are certain qualities that match and some don't. He has a certain type of thinking as he has been brought up like that. I am able to connect to him at a certain level. I was not able to connect to certain things about Waseem while rehearsing but then I had to tell myself that it is the character and I don't have to think beyond that.
One thing you will miss about your character and why.
I am missing everything about Waseem's character and the entire show. But now, I have dedicated my time to prepare for my new project. So, it is tough to transcend from one character to another. There were a lot of things that I did on the set as Waseem and not Nishant. I could feel it. It took me a lot of time to come out of the character. It's joyful and painful at the same time. However, I have tried to get over it.
Well, Nishant, you will surely be missed by the viewers for playing Waseem's character.
