MUMBAI: Shabir Ahluwalia and Neeharika Roy’s Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan is a mature romance based in modern-day Vrindavan. The storyline of the show has taken us on the intriguing journey of Mohan, who was once a charmer but at the same time, turned into an intense, brooding yet an angry man with sorrow in his eyes as his wife Tulsi passed away. Gungun, his daughter, is not ready to accept him as her father. Neeharika Roy aka Radha has a love interest in Mohan.
Actress Sambhabana Mohanty is seen playing the negative lead in the show 'Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan'. She is essaying the character of Damini in the show.
She is known for her role in Raja Betaa and she started her career with the Odissi film called Munn Raja Tu Rani.
TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor to talk about her experience shooting with Shabir and Neeharika and their bond, to which she said, “The bonding between us is touch wood really good. Shabir Ji is so down to earth, he is a superstar but he is so grounded. He gels well with everybody, he is like a companion and a friend, whenever he walks in, he does not behave like a superstar or has any sort of attitude about it, he actually comes down, chills with us, plays games on set, and that has contributed to creating such a fun work environment that we look forward to work every day”. Talking about her bond with Neeharika Roy, she said, “ And Neeharika is my baby, and we have a Bengali connection because I am half Bengali, and we gossip a lot in the language, so I have somebody that I can talk to in my mother tongue and that is just so much fun”.
Sambhabana also thanks the fans for the support because now the show airs from everyday including Sunday. The love that the show gets from the fans has been a great support and source of motivation for the cast and crew that works so hard.
She also revealed that she has a Bengali nickname for Neeraika because she keeps falling down or things keep happening to her. She gave her the cute nickname of ‘Nakashona’.
Fans are really appreciating the show and the chemistry between Shabir and Neehraika.
