Gaurav Chopra's on a roll!

It's reliably learnt that Gaurav Chopra is to be cast opposite Gauri Tonk in her comeback serial, Jhoome Jiya Re. The show is being produced by DJ's for Zee TV. On being queried about it Gaurav explains, "It's a verbal commitment. We still don't have our shooting dates. I can't comment on something that is ambiguous because until it is on papers, anything can happen." Revealing the depth of his character, he speaks excitedly about his role as Capt. Abhimanyu Raj Chauhan in Left Right Left on SAB TV, "My character has brought in a new flavour. Every line of mine has got an undertone. It is full of complexities. I am finding it difficult to enact the role and at the same time I am enjoying the challenge of enacting such a mature and layered role." About his equation with Rajeev Khandelwal, he says, "We started by acknowledging each other's talents. Ours is a fair friendship. We get along very well." Gaurav is equally thrilled about his cameo in another SAB serial - Four. Throwing more light on it, he maintains, "Here too, I have given a mature role where I play Param, the female protagonist Taranpreet's (Manasi Parekh) fiance. Presently I am shooting for a song sequence for the engagement ceremony. He especially connects to the scene where Taranpreet (TP) asks if he would mind her having male friends and his dialogue says, "Why should a man be bothered about a bunch of boys!" Param asks TP to take time off for their wedding and Gaurav loves playing mature roles like these. The bearded actor is also doing a film but wouldn't like to say anything about it at this stage. On the one most irresistible topic, about his on-off relationship with Narayani Shastri, he says, "We are good friends and probably will remain so for the rest of our lives."
