Actor Gaurav Khanna, who is seen essaying the role of Prince Virendra Singh in "Prem Ya Paheli Chandrakanta", recreated a popular scene featuring veteran actor Dharmendra from the 1975 classic "Sholay" in the fantasy drama show.
In an upcoming sequence, Gaurav will be hanging in the air with his hands tied up with a rope. Shivdutt (Ankit Arora) will brutally bash up Virendra. Kritika Kamra, who essays the role of Chandrakanta, will come to his rescue just like actress Hema Malini protected Dharmendra in "Sholay".
"It was super sunny and hot while we were shooting for this sequence. My shoulders were super stretched in real sense as it was a gruelling scene. Though the hunter was made out of a soft material, it still hit my arms a couple of times and I had bruises for a couple of days," Gaurav said in a statement.
"While doing the scene everyone was recollecting the famous 'Sholay' scene due to the style in which I was tied and pulled up by my arms. It was satisfying to see the scene come out well as planned," he added.
"Prem Ya Paheli Chandrakanta" is aired on Life OK.
