Gaurav on a sabbatical

Remember Gaurav Channa from Sony’s Risshton Ki Dor? He is not seen much on television these days. He was praised for his stint on Star One’s Hey... Yehii To Haii Woh where he had a double role. After that there was nothing much from him. We wonder what this saucy actor is up to, so we query him about what’s been keeping him busy all this while. “This industry is too fast and it was becoming too hectic to cope with, thus I took a break. I’m not completely out of work. I have been doing ads,” says Gaurav. He further explains, “Besides that, I’m also fulfilling my desire to learn martial arts and squash. I have been learning this since the past six months. This makes me feel relaxed and refreshed. In Bombay, life is difficult and too fast. Here you don’t have time to take up activities you like. By taking time off I feel rejuvenated.” So aren’t you insecure about your career? “Fortunately there is no insecurity. I keep getting offers but I’m not ready to take any shows. As soon as I make up my mind you’ll definitely know it,” states Gaurav. Definitely ads are there to earn him his bread and butter so there shouldn’t be any insecurity. “Status wise, I’m pretty satisfied,” he points out at the end.
