MUMBAI: Zee TV is all set to shake up the reality television space with its upcoming show Gori Chali Gaon, a refreshing and unconventional format that promises a delightful blend of entertainment and cultural immersion. Slated for launch between July and August 2025, the show will be hosted by the ever-popular VJ and actor Rannvijay Singha, known for his rugged charm and connection with youth audiences.
In this first-of-its-kind reality series, urban celebrities and influencers will bid farewell to their city comforts and embrace life in a traditional rural setting. Participants will be taken to a remote village where they will immerse themselves in the daily lives of locals—taking on everything from milking cows and cooking on a chulha (wood-fired stove) to participating in age-old farming practices and engaging in native customs.
As per reports, a few names already making waves include fitness icon Krishna Shroff and the viral social media duo Chinki–Minki. While the final list of contestants is still under wraps, anticipation is steadily building.

As per sources, Anita Hassanandani Reddy has been approached for the show and the talks are on between her and the makers of the show, though there is no confirmation on the same.
If things work out then this would be Anita’s second reality show post Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and the fans would love to see her in a new avtar on the show.
The concept of Gori Chali Gaon stands out for its authenticity and charm, offering audiences a light-hearted yet meaningful peek into the simplicity and resilience of rural Indian life. Contestants will not only face humorous and hands-on tasks but also gain insights into the traditions, culture, and values that define India’s villages.
