Gurmeet-Debina exchange rings!

The Gods have finally engaged! Gurmeet Chaudhary and Debina Bonnerjee who played Ram and Sita in Imagine’s Ramayan have taken the first step towards matrimony. The couple has being dating since the days of Ramayan. After Gurmeet proposed to Debina on the reality show, Pati Patni Aur Woh, their fans had been waiting for them to walk down the aisle. Debina confirmed the news saying, “We recently got engaged. It was a private, homely affair that included only family.” The actress adds, “My mom was here in Mumbai and dad was coming here to fetch her. Since, the wedding is taking a lot of time due to several reasons, we just thought of exchanging rings.” Speaking about marriage, Debina says, “We shall get married sometime next year probably, in February 2011. We wanted to tie the knot sooner but couldn’t do that due to the location of our families and many other reasons. It is a big task actually.” For all those who don’t know Debina first met Gurmeet in Sahara Mr & Miss Bollywood contest where Gurmeet was one of the participants. However, sparks flew on the sets of Ramayan.
