Horror or Comedy; what's going on in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein?

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein

After a hard day’s work, what do you crave for?

Entertainment, entertainment and entertainment!!

The craving to see some fun stuff led us to stop our usual process of surfing channel, to stick to Star Plus’ Yeh Hai Mohabbatein (Balaji Telefilms).

Devoid of the typical ‘boy-meets-girl-hates-each-other-and–then-fall-in-love’, this show definitely has something different to offer.

But what we saw left us amazed and shocked! It actually left a lurch in our heart, seeing the overtly spectacular scene between Raman (Karan Patel) and Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi).

We all know both the actors are supremely talented, but what we saw, seemed like something totally different.

It’s like SRK-Kajol being made to do a scene from some B-grade horror flicks. (On the lines of Shaitaanon Ka Honeymoon, Purani Kabar, Aakhri Cheekh...you know what I mean?)

Okay! Let us tell you what transpired!

As viewers would know, the current storyline is focussing on Ishita being possessed by Shagun’s (Anita Hasnandani) ghost.

Now, horror tracks definitely work for TV serials, and we were SCARED to see the scenes; scared that sometimes the run to get TRPs can actually spoil a good show.

Divyanka, who holds a strong acting capability, looked funny trying to look ghostly. As for Karan, rather than looking afraid he seemed frustrated having to do such scenes.

Ok, now we give that to you Karan. Who would have liked being made a wall clock, hanged there...and that too upside down. Waqt ne kiya kya haseen...ooops zaalim sitam!

And aiyo murugan! Ishita became a super girl with her power to make people shift with the movement of her hands!

Kya baat kya baat kya baat!

So much of creativity would put Ramsay brothers to shame (Witch like laughter, to get the mood)!

Yes, it is important to bring flavours, but as they say too much of anything ends up in nothing.

We love Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, and its highly valuable thought provoking subject. We really hope the makers have something super interesting up their sleeves....like always!
