I am an actor who can get into the skin of any character I choose to play: Prasad Barve

Prasad Barve
The very thought that Prasad Barve, the man who is a bundle of talent, marked his entry in the entertainment industry by venturing into dubbing various cartoon characters such as Little Wonders, That’s So Raven, Scooby Doo, Stitch, Pokémon, Barbie of Swan Lake and Kung Fu Panda 2 at the age of 8 is wrong! Prasad’s first love has always remained acting, he having made his debut with a Marathi movie Chikat Navra and that is from where his potential as a voice over artiste came into the limelight. In conversation with Tellychakkar.com, the multi-talented actor, Prasad talks about his aspirations in the industry, personal life and his recently launched show Pritam Pyaare Aur Woh on SAB TV. “Though I have majorly done comedy, I see myself doing various roles from different genres from drama to negative roles and grey shades to reality shows. I am an actor who can get into the skin of whichever character I choose. And that is not challenging as I feel it is easy to make people cry but it is very difficult to make people laugh,” he observed. “With comedy too, I am very selective. One would never see me do a typical comedy role. For example my role as Pyaare in Pritam Pyaare Aur Woh is very different. This being my first association with SAB TV, here in the show I essay the lead role which has its own class and style. The interesting thing is that he keeps saying sorry for every small little thing and by essaying this character I have realized one thing and that is this four letter word can create wonders. It can make or break a situation or relationship,” Prasad added. Commenting on his experience while shooting for the show, he said that the entire team was like many bodies with one soul! “Normally the directors, cameramen and actors have separate zones, but here there are no ego hassles and we are like one big happy family. So much so that we as junior actors can suggest some tips on performing a scene to a senior actor like Tiku Talsania and he takes it positively. This is the case with all of us,” he quipped. Prasad, who married his girlfriend Priti (they have been dating since 13 years) an interior designer by profession, expressed how his entire family is very jovial. “I am extremely glad to have Priti as my wife. Both my mother and she are very light hearted. Also Priti and I have a very good understanding among the two of us; she understands me as a partner and a friend,” he maintained. Well said Prasad!!!
