I don't love typical moms on television: Upasana Singh

Upasana Singh

The hottest aunt of small screen Pinky Bua aka Upasana Singh is surely one woman who is young at heart. She is one actress who is fond of donning unusual avatar on screen.

As we chatted with the lady, she opened up about her roles. “In Comedy Nights I am essaying the role of an unmarried aunt and in Total Nadaaniyan, a cool, fun mother-in-law. Neither they are angry, exploiting in-law nor are they too sweet to fall victim of their daughter-in-law’s tricks. I have never liked the typical mothers that have been portrayed on screen, hence have always preferred to do unconventional characters.”

Upasana, who claims herself to be very different from her on screen avatar said, “Unlike my on screen characters I am not much loud, instead I am very much calm and composed and very much dependent on my family. Without their words of wisdom I am clearly clueless about what to do.”

“For any issues I quickly turn to my mother and sister for their advice. Even my husband believes that they are much wiser than me and often says it’s better not to ask for any guidance from me,” added the talented lady candidly.

The actress, who is known for her saxy, twanty two years old avatar also spoke about her attachment with the show Comedy Nights with Kapil. “Comedy Nights has given me a big platform to do something iconic. And my attachment with the series is unexplainable. We have grown so much close to each other and it’s more like a second home for me.”

As the lady waits for her next two flicks, Chalk & Duster and Wedding Pulao to release, we wish her all the best.
